HUD Publishes HOPWA 20, Housing Innovations in HIV Care
The Office of HIV/AIDS Housing in CPD is pleased to announce HOPWA 20, Housing Innovations in HIV Care, a compendium of practices and programs that demonstrate the successes of the Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA). HOPWA 20 showcases the variety of placed-based collaborations that are addressing the housing needs of HIV positive persons and families across the country. This program resource is being distributed to HOPWA grantees in advance of the XIX International AIDS Conference being held on July 21st - 28th in Washington, DC. In showing successful housing programs, this tool will also be shared with our domestic and international colleagues promoting housing as a platform for improving quality of life as part of the invigorated response to the HIV epidemic. HOPWA 20 describes projects that are helping to end homelessness, that coordinate and leverage in cross-program efforts, and that serve special needs in rural communities, on behavioral health issues, in re-integrating formerly incarcerated persons along with other service delivery topics.
