HUD Publishes Fair Housing Organizations Database to Support Planning Activities

The Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) is excited to announce a new Fair Housing Organizations database on the HUD Exchange. View the fair housing organizations database. This resource provides contact information for HUD-funded organizations that help to ensure fair housing opportunities across the United States. These organizations may be helpful to local governments, public housing agencies (PHAs), and states/insular areas in supporting fair housing planning activities.

The database includes organizations that receive HUD funding through the Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) and Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP).

HUD encourages local governments, PHAs, and states/insular areas to partner with FHIP and FHAP organizations in the creation of their Analyses of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) and other fair housing planning efforts. Through a partnership with these fair housing organizations, local governments, PHAs, and states/insular areas may access local data and knowledge that may be useful in fair housing planning activities. The fair housing organizations can also support meaningful community participation of citizens and residents in the fair housing planning process.

HUD encourages you to subscribe to the HUD Exchange Mailing List to receive the most up-to-date information on fair housing planning resources that may assist communities to affirmatively further fair housing.
