Course Description

This class covers the essentials of financial management under the HOME and other HUD community development programs and discusses the Federal requirements for financial accounting, including planning, budgeting, setting up financial reporting systems, documenting costs, and other reporting and compliance issues. Frequently asked questions will be discussed and pertinent OMB circulars will be reviewed. This course includes information necessary to adequately monitor subrecipients on financial topics and to comply with Federal financial and uniform administrative requirements.
