Extension to FY 2019 Comprehensive Housing Counseling Grant Performance Period

In response to the challenges housing counseling agencies are facing as a result of the COVID-19 National Emergency, the HUD Office of Housing Counseling (OHC) is implementing an automatic extension of the performance period for all fiscal year (FY) 2019 Comprehensive Housing Counseling (CHC) grants to the maximum allowable timeframe.

Agencies operating under the FY 2019 CHC grant requirements are not required to submit requests to obtain the extension. This extension supersedes all extensions for the FY 2019 grants previously approved by OHC. The new period of performance end date will be March 31, 2021.

All terms under the original grant agreement remain in effect. The additional quarterly reports required under this grant per Article XI of the grant agreement will be due as follows:

Quarterly Performance Report Due Date

April 1 – June 30, 2020

No later than July 31, 2020

July 1 – September 30, 2020

No later than October 31, 2020

October 1 – December 31, 2020

No later than January 31, 2021

January 1 – March 31, 2021

No later than April 30, 2021

Grantees submitting their final report will have 90 days from the dates listed to submit the final report, including the final draw request and required narratives.
