Register Today: Part 58 Environmental Review Training - Detroit, MI - July 30-August 1, 2019
Detroit is pleased to announce a training for HUD grantees and partners that prepare 24 CFR Part 58 environmental reviews. The training is a live, in person training provided at the Food and Drug Administration.
This is an intermediate level training, focusing on the related laws and authorities under 24 CFR Part 58. This live, in-person 3-day training will go in-depth on topics including:
- Noise assessment
- Explosive and flammable operations
- Site contamination and toxic substances
- Air quality
- Endangered species
- Wild and scenic rivers
- Floodplain and wetland management
- Coastal zone management
- Coastal barrier resources
- Airport hazards
- Historic preservation
- Farmland protection
- Sole source aquifers
- Environmental justice
- Environmental factors
- Flood insurance
Attendees are required to complete the Web-Based Instructional System for Environmental Reviews (WISER) module titled “Getting Started: Part 58.”
Completing other modules is also recommended as it will allow participants to have an interactive experience during the training.

The registration deadline is July 19, 2019.
Late registration or unregistered attendees will not be allowed. All participant names must be provided to FDA in advance due to building security. Unregistered attendees will not be allowed into the building.
