Community Workshops Technical Assistance Opportunity: Information Webinar – February 3, 2021 – 2:00 PM EST
HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS) is hosting an informational webinar on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 2:00-3:00 PM EST to provide an overview of Community Workshops. These workshops are an opportunity for technical assistance that continues to promote group learning, peer to peer exchange, and inclusive, collaborative approaches to problem-solving and systems change.
Community Workshops, an extension of Communities of Practice (CoP) and Intensive Workshops, will be offered starting in April 2021 to Continuum of Care (CoC) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) recipients on specific topic areas to address needs and challenges in communities on ending homelessness. Areas of concentration include:
- Coordinated Entry
- Housing-focused practices and housing problem-solving
- Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS)
- System performance
This collective approach to TA delivery draws on the strengths of communities and their expertise in the field to foster a space that encourages resource sharing, innovative out-of-the-box thinking, and connections across communities.
The webinar will cover what a Community Workshop is, who could benefit from this opportunity, topics that will be covered, schedule, and participation requirements. Please join us to learn how you can be a part of this technical assistance initiative.
This opportunity is targeted to CoCs and their partner ESG entitlement jurisdiction recipients that currently are not receiving intensive, direct CARES Act technical assistance.
