Child Tax Credit Navigator Training for HOPWA, FVPSA, and OTIP Grantees – Wednesday, September 22, 2021 – 1:30 PM EDT

September 14, 2021 Print ShareThis

Experts estimate the new Child Tax Credit has the potential to cut child poverty in half. It provides the largest Child Tax Credit ever and provides historic relief to most working families ($3,000 per child between 6-17 years old and $3,600 per child under six years old).

This training was presented as a collaboration among the following agencies:

  • HUD’s Office of HIV/AIDS Housing (OHH)
  • U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration of Children and Families’ (ACF) Division of Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) and the Office of Trafficking in Persons (OTIP)
  • U.S. Department of the Treasury
  • The White House

The training was intended for Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA), FVPSA, and OTIP grantees to learn how to help eligible families enroll in the Child Tax Credit.

This one-hour session provided an overview of the Child Tax Credit and walked through the Non-Filer Portal to show attendees how they can help families enroll in this historic Child Tax Credit.
