On March 29, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) extended its eviction moratorium, titled Temporary Halt in Residential Evictions to Prevent the Further Spread of COVID-19, further preventing the eviction of tenants who are unable to make rental payments. The moratorium that was scheduled to expire on March 31, 2021 is now extended through June 30, 2021. Read the CDC announcement.
Housing Counselors can watch the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) new "Take action to avoid eviction using the CDC order" video to learn about the eviction moratorium and how it can help clients.
