If the answer is yes, then you should know about available guidance and resources on the applicability and implementation of the following federal requirements that apply to Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) projects and activities:

  • Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended, (URA)
  • Section 104(d) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, (section 104(d))
  • CDBG Displacement, Relocation, Acquisition, and Replacement of Housing program regulatory requirements (24 CFR 570.606)

The CDBG-DR program typically waives and/or provides alternative requirements to some of these requirements to help grantees expedite disaster recovery efforts. You can find these waivers and alternative requirements in the Federal Register Notice applicable to your disaster.
