Program Income

What is program income?

Program income is the income received by the recipient or subrecipient directly generated by a grant-supported activity. Some examples include income from fees for services performed and rent and occupancy charges paid directly to the recipient or subrecipient by program participants. Rent funds received are considered to be program income under Section 24 CFR 578.97 of the CoC Program Interim Rule. Tenant rent paid to a landlord that is not the recipient or subrecipient is not considered to be program income.
