If energy efficient appliances are installed in an NSP home, is a deed restriction or covenant required to ensure those appliances will remain in the home if resold?

To ensure that energy efficient appliances remain in the home, NSP requires a deed restriction or covenant for clothes washers, dryers and dishwashers. The deed restriction/covenant does not prohibit the replacement of appliances in cases when that is necessary.
