A

Affirmative fair marketing plan requirements dictate that an applicant for HUD housing program funds certifies that it will affirmatively further fair housing, which means that it will conduct an analysis to identify impediments to fair housing choice within the jurisdiction, take appropriate actions to overcome the effects of any impediments identified through that analysis, and maintain records reflecting the analysis and actions in this regard. If a project is utilizing another source of federal funding in addition to NSP and an affirmative marketing plan has already been created for the other source of federal funding, that plan will suffice for the NSP project as well.
