Grantees should research conditions in their local markets by talking to real estate agents, analyzing recent trends, and similar methods. Considerable information is available on-line. With market knowledge, grantees can then decide which buyers they are targeting and how to reach them. Grantees should try to sell the whole neighborhood, not just the house. Community organizations, churches, schools and other neighborhood-based groups can help with this effort. The OneCPD Resource Exchange contains several resources on marketing NSP homes. To search for the resources, select Marketing and Selling properties as a topic in the Advanced Search.
