How do we change the primary contact?

To request a change in the primary contact or to reassign write and submit rights when a contact person is unavailable for a significant amount of time, please submit a request through HUD Exchange Ask a Question. You will need to upload a PDF of a written request on the letterhead of the organization that includes the following:

  • Name of former contact and name of new contact person;

  • Continuum of Care name and CoC number;

  • New person's contact information including phone number, position, email address, and mailing address; and

  • The reason for the request.

The letter should be signed by an authorized person (e.g. board chair, executive director, etc.).
