Do agencies need to update the Counselor/Client tab in their HCS profile?

No, agencies are not responsible to keep this section of the Housing Counseling System (HCS) up to date. Although you can currently add counselors to your agency’s HCS profile in the Client/Counselor tab, you cannot delete counselors associated with your organization. Counselor data is automatically submitted to this tab of HCS when an agency electronically submits their HUD-9902 or client level data through their Client Management System (CMS). If you see duplicate counselors listed in the Counselor/Client tab, this is most likely because the counselor was entered both manually by the agency and submitted from their CMS.
