If HUD determines the new project that has been applied for using the transition process does not meet all requirements of a transition grant for the FY 2018 CoC Program Competition, will the CoC lose funding?

If HUD determines that a new project created through the transition grant process does not qualify to be a transition grant, but meets all other new project requirements, then HUD may award the project as a new project that is not a transition grant. In these instances, the recipient will not be permitted to expend any FY 2018 funds on activities not included in the new project application (meaning the new project will not be able to expend any funds on the renewal project(s) that was/were reallocated to create the new project).
