Due to the lapse in Congressional Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2019, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is closed. This website is supported by a cooperative agreement funded under a prior appropriation. Current functions will remain operational but no new functions will be added during the lapse in appropriations. For more information, see HUD Contingency Plan for Possible Lapse in Appropriations.

Why should I submit my HUD-9902 form reports on time every quarter?

Date Published: April 2018

HUD uses the HUD-9902 form reports in a number of ways, including to justify HUD’s Housing Counseling Program budget and to demonstrate the impact of the program to stakeholders. Failure to submit timely reports could jeopardize your agency’s status as a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, delay processing of grant vouchers, and may negatively affect your agency’s scores in HUD housing counseling grant competitions. Please refer to the HUD-9902 Reporting Schedule for an outline of quarterly reporting periods and due dates. The HUD-9902 Form and supporting materials are also available for guidance and examples of accurate reporting.
