We have a transition-age client in our youth shelter who is going back to school. Which destination should we choose?

A

The client’s destination is about where they are staying, not necessarily about why they are staying there. So the destination should reflect the client’s living situation. That said, we recognize that a client returning to school is a huge accomplishment and that should be reflected in your outcomes if possible. If the client is moving into a dorm, “rental by client” can be selected. If the client is moving into housing with a relative during their schooling, “living with family, permanent tenure” can be selected.
