What are the Final Rule requirements concerning election law violations?

After the effective date of the Final Rule, no housing counseling funds made available under the HUD Housing Counseling Program shall be distributed to any organization that has been convicted for a violation under Federal law relating to an election for Federal office, or that employs "applicable individuals" who have been convicted for a violation under Federal law relating to an election for Federal office.
