Housing Counseling FAQ
Q

When reporting client impacts in Section 10 of the HUD-9902 form, do impacts follow a client from fiscal year to fiscal year?

A

In certain cases impacts may follow a client from one fiscal year to the next. For example, if a budget was created for a client at the end of FY17, and a housing counseling agency is still counseling this client in FY18, following the same Action Plan, that impact of “developed a sustainable household budget” can be reported for the client in FY18.

Please note that in order to continue to report a client impact from fiscal year to fiscal year, the client must be receiving counseling on the same subject. Further reporting guidance can be found in the HUD-9902 Form and supporting materials.
