A

During the 20-day holding period for unsuitable properties, the landholding agency cannot proceed with any disposal action for the property to allow homeless services providers the opportunity to submit an appeal request to HUD with supporting documentation to reverse the unsuitable suitability determination. Once HUD receives the appeal request, HUD will then immediately notify the landholding agency of the appeal and request that the agency submits information pertinent to the appeal request review, and advise the agency that it should refrain from initiating any disposal procedures until HUD has completed its reconsideration and has notified both the landholding agency and the homeless service provider of HUD’s final decision.

HUD will start its review of the appeal request 30 days from the date of receipt of the landholding agency’s response.
