What are HUD’s roles and responsibilities for administering the Title V program?

HUD has three primary roles in administering the Title V program:

  1. Canvass federal landholding agencies regarding unutilized, underutilized, excess, and surplus federal real properties (including building, land, and fixtures);
  2. Make suitability determinations; and
  3. Publish the suitability determination on the HUD Exchange.
