For Local Housing Counseling Agencies (LHCAs) and Multi-State Organizations (MSOs), the reviews typically are based on the expiration date of the current unconditional certificate. There may be some additional factors that could determine another timeframe (e.g., a merger of any agency).
For State Housing Finance Agency (SHFAs), the reviews are typically scheduled two or three years after the previous Performance Review.
A new standard policy for HUD performance reviews of Intermediaries is currently being developed by the Office of Housing Counseling (OHC). Additional information will be available regarding the Intermediary form/process in the near future.
