Grantees must include the amount of program income they expect to spend on each Activity in the Activity Budget. However, to avoid continuous budget adjustments, DRGR does not ask for grantees to separately identify how much of the activity budget is program income and how much is program funds.

If a grantee would like to identify the amount of program income vs. grant funds in an activity budget, they can type this information into the activity description along with a description of the basis for the estimate of program income. This may be useful if grantee supervisors or HUD staff reviewing activity budget may only be accustomed to seeing only grant funds in the budget.

Below is a summary of how Program Income is accounted for in Project and Activity budgets.
